This book is designed to teach you fretboard basics, reading skills, the concept of groove and beginning music theory. The exercises are designed to help you memorize your fretboard while learning to read notes and rhythms at the same time. The concept of groove comes while playing along with the audio examples. When you play with the audio examples you will play with the full band followed by the full band minus the bass guitar. These audio examples usually appear when there is a review of a concept. Music theory concepts will be added as the book progress.                                                     

This book is an extension of the bass guitar instructional book First Bass.  Second Bass will continue to expand your knowledge of theory, fretboard harmony, chord knowledge and groove.  You will now use theory to help analyze the bass lines as well as create your own.  When you play with the audio examples you will play with the full band followed by the full band minus the bass guitar.  These audio examples usually appear when there is a review of a concept.
